ABOUT THE HOTEL

Happy Monday, friends! This past weekend I had the opportunity to “get away” in my very own city and experience my very first staycation. When The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook, AL invited my two girlfriends and I to visit their beautiful hotel, we definitely couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I didn’t even realize how much I would enjoy spending a night away in my own hometown. Staycations are the best because they allow you time to relax and experience new things without having to go very far. Every inch of the hotel was absolutely stunning and we truly enjoyed our entire stay from start to finish. Below is a picture of one corner of the lobby, trust me when I say that this is just a tiny glimpse at the beauty this hotel has to offer. The Grand Bohemian is a Kessler Collection luxury hotel, with properties in various locations around the United States. I couldn’t recommend these hotels more and today I’m so excited to share with you a few highlights from our weekend.

THE ROOM

The rooms were just as stunning and luxurious as the common areas of the hotel. They were fully dressed in pink, marble and velvet- Seriously major inspo for my current home reno project! On top of the room being aesthetically pleasing, it was very spacious with plenty of room for all three of us. We were also welcomed with a cheese board, wine and the sweetest thank you note- Such a treat and just an example of the first class hospitality that the hotel offers it’s guests. Most importantly, the beds were extremely comfortable and I seriously slept like a baby! I didn’t even miss my bed at home, which is super rare for me.

WINE BLENDING + TASTING CLASS

The Grand Bohemian offers a unique wine blending class onsite. We had a blast tasting and mixing wines to create our very own custom blended bottle. They are even complete with your very own customized photo label and wine name. On top of all that, you even get to cork your own bottle… So fun!! In the picture below I’m actually hiding my bottle label because I made it as a surprise for someone special… I’ll be sure to show you guys really soon what it looks like. ;-) We seriously had a blast and I would definitely recommend this class for team building, birthdays, anniversaries or just for fun! The class was also very informative/educational and I practically felt like a wine expert by the time all was said and done! A few other amenities that the hotel offers are fine + casual dining, fully stocked bar, cooking classes, a gym, pool and a spa!

THE FOOD

The food at The Grand Bohemian was phenomenal! We had Sunday brunch at their onsite restaurant/bar, Habitat Feed and Social, which was located on the third floor of the hotel. The atmosphere was so fun and the decor gave me total Alice In Wonderland vibes. The brunch we had was buffet style and there were so many great options to choose from. It was super tasty and I will definitely be coming back here again.

Overall, I truly enjoyed our short stay at The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook this weekend. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for an upscale, boutique property with excellent customer service and fabulous amenities. Not to mention the convenient location that’s pretty hard to beat. So many great restaurants in walking distance or just a short car ride away.
