Over the years, party planning has become one of my favorite pastimes. Because of this, I’ve definitely become my friends and families “go-to” when it comes to helping with events. Not only does it exercise my creativity but I also love celebrating the people I love in general. There’s just something so cool about coming up with this crazy, wild vision in your head and then seeing it come to life before your eyes (Not to mention the priceless look on the faces of the guests when they get to see everything you’ve dreamt up). To be completely honest, party planning is a LOT of work. I mean wow, it truly is a full-time job in itself but I’m the queen of over committing and honestly, I love staying busy so I don’t mind it at all.

When one of my best friends, Mamie, asked me to plan her 30th birthday party at her boyfriend’s house - Of course I was all in!! She mentioned a French Gardenside, super elegant party theme. We’ve both been obsessed with Love Shack Fancy for so long and that’s when we came up with the idea to mix the two ideas. In that moment, all kinds of ideas sparked in my head and I immediately started looking up inspo photos and saving them to a mood board to have all of my ideas in one place. I did all kinds of research on other parties that had a similar feel and also asked around for recommendations for local vendors.

Since the party was garden theme inspired I knew we needed tons and tons of beautiful flowers. I booked @foxandbrindle for the task of all the floral table arrangements, which turned out absolutely gorgeous. It wasn’t until 24 hours before the actual party that I dreamt up a wild, last minute addition to the party. I had no idea if I would be able to make it happen, especially with such short notice but I was determined. I reached out to @liltflorals to see if she was able to build a life-sized floral M. It would stand 7.5 feet long x 7.5 feet tall. The structure would have to be built from the ground up and it would be filled with fresh, colorful wildflowers. To my surprise she took on the feat and made all of my flower dreams come true. It was massive, unique and oh so beautiful.

The party came together just as I’d envisioned it - tons of florals, dainty ribbons, pretty pastels, and of course good music, a photo booth, lots of yummy food and delicious cocktails.
