Galentine's Day: Forget boys, this sacred holiday takes place the day before Valentine's Day and is all about celebrating your true loves... AKA your GAL PALS! 💕
Although I didn't have enough time this year to actually throw my own Galentine's Day celebration, I still thought this would be a super fun post to write and a great way to share all of my ideas with you! I split the party planning into four categories: snacks, decorations, drinks and activities.
1. Snacks: Because what is a great party without great food? If you're trying to save money, you could always ask your friends to each bring a Galentine's Day themed dish to the party. If you're making the food yourself, I found some simple & cute ideas for you. First, I would go with traditional chocolate covered strawberries because they are always a crowd favorite. You can find a cute Galentine's Day recipe for them here! If you're really wanting to impress your guests, you could even set up a chocolate fondue bar with marshmallows, pound cake, strawberries and bananas for dipping! I own this chocolate fountain and it is extremely affordable + works great! All you do is add the chocolate and the fountain does the rest. Another great sweet idea for the party are Valentine's Day cookies (pictured above)! I used pre-made cookie dough to make mine, which made things much easier. For a more interactive idea, you could all decorate your own Galentine's day cookies at the party! On a more savory note, I found a recipe for the most delicious (and cutest) heart shaped pizza with heart shaped pepperoni's, which can be found here.
2. Decorations: When I first walk into a room, naturally, the first thing I notice is how it's decorated. Cute decorations are key to a successful Galentine's Day party. I'm going to link some pictures below of some adorable decorations I found that would make for the perfect set-up.
3. Drinks: Check out these cute wine labels that can be used to cover your bottles. These labels come in a set of four and are under $10! In addition to wine, I think throwing a few strawberries or raspberries into your guests champagne glasses would add the perfect touch and dress up your drinks with a little pink! As for non-alcoholic beverages, I found an incredible recipe for these drinks called "Cupid Floats' here that looks oh so tasty!
4. Activities: I think setting up a photo booth/wall would be a cute idea and a great way to make sure your guests take plenty of photos! You could set up a pink backdrop and include photo props like the one's found here. Other fun ideas include doing a DIY activity such as putting together your own mini Galentine's Day flower bouquets. My friends and I personally love to play games at parties such as apples to apples or Picolo (which can be downloaded in the app store). Watching a classic chick flick such as Bridesmaids or Mean Girls could be really fun as well! You could even ask each guest to bring an item such as nail polish for example and do a gift exchange at the end of the party!
