HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe another year has come and gone? I feel like I say this every year, but this seriously feels like the fastest year of my life. I’ve been brainstorming topics for my first blog post of the new year and I thought what better than to reflect on a few key things I’ve learned this past year. With that, here are 8 things I learned in 2018.
Trust in His plan: This, of course, has to be #1 on the list. Worrying about what the future holds is a waste of time. You can rest assured knowing that HE has a plan for you.
Give yourself more grace: Don’t be so hard on yourself. I’m my own worst critic, so this is something that I’ve had to work on this past year.
You can’t do it all: God gave us 24 hours in the day for a reason. It’s OK if you can’t do it all.
Alone time is necessary: Living alone for the first time has taught me so much about myself. Being a people person and a busy body, alone time used to be such a rare thing for me. I have really come to appreciate this time by myself.
Communication is key: People aren’t mind readers. Communication has been major key in so many parts of my life. If anything it helps avoid any confusion and prevent unnecessary conflict.
Good things take time: Appreciate the present and never take anything for granted. You're only in this moment right now, you’ll never be able to get it back.
Invest in yourself & your dreams: Because I assure you that both of these things will bring the greatest, most rewarding return.
Hard work pays off: Can I get an AMEN. This year I have learned more than ever that hard work truly does pay off. This has been true in both my professional and personal life.
